HELLO JAYESCRIBERS!!!!!!!!!!! Amid all this heat I truly hope that everyone is staying cool and trying their best to not sweat out of their birthday suits. God knows most of us are sweating into them lol. I wanna talk about being 25. I recently turned 25 in April and I know that many of my older readers (35+) are looking at this like "25? Are you serious?" but I truly think that this is a very pivotal age in a young persons life. Especially a person in the industry not yet "discovered" or publicly marketed.
As many of you know I'm a singer who acts and writes but my career is no where near the dream I had at 2 years old. The talented 7 year old boy with the curly hair, flashy smile, slim look and knack for mimicking people is no more. He's been replaced by a not so slim, more mature young man. So this is for my fellow twenty-neers. Is 25 to old to "start" becoming successful in the business? Or is it to young to even think about right now?
I find that a lot of times people are always looking for the new thing, the youngest, new, fresh and talented (or not so talented) person to capitalize on (i.e. Justin Beiber, Care Bears On Fire, Sean Kingston & Keke Palmer). Or their taking chances on those that have had luxurious careers thus far (Vivca A. Fox, Jamie Foxx, Brad Pitt & Raven-Symone) But what do you do when you feel like you have paid many a dues and you still haven't taken off the way you would like to?
As I said before I just turned 25 in April and I kind of feel like I'm no longer the kid with the big voice. No one is knocking on my door to work with me and quite frankly its getting harder and harder to push myself toward the mark. If it wasn't for the desire to really believe in my dream I probably would have stopped singing long ago. So, what are your thoughts on the matter? Leave your comments and opinions. would love to hear what you think.

OMG. I was just talking to someone about turning 25 the other day. I just realized last week that I will be 25 this year. You are right this is a very pivotal time in a person's life. I too feel as thou I have yet to materialize the dream I had "when I was 10." LOL. However, when I look back on what I have done, it's far more than some! You might not feel as thou you are where you dreamed you'd be. BUT, you are closer than most. You have been on stage countless times, delivering powerful performances that I'm sure have touched many people. So I can say that you have definitely made a name for yourself. It might not be in the big shinny lights that you had dreamed, YET, but you still have a long life to live. Who knows what may happen. I have faith in you young grasshopper!
